Lynsay Birckbichler
Preschool Ministry Coordinator
Lynsay currently serves as the Preschool Ministry Coordinator at Forestville. Lynsay works to plan and direct the preschool ministry (ages birth-K4). Her goal is to plant seeds for spiritual growth by leading children to God’s Word in a fun, safe and loving environment. Lynsay enjoys working with preschool aged children and watching young children begin to discover and grow in the love of Jesus!
Lynsay was blessed to grow up in a family with a long tradition of loving and serving for the Lord. Her grandfather was once the lead pastor at Forestville! Lynsay experienced the gift of salvation at the young age of 8 years old. She was sitting in the pews of her childhood church during a week of Vacation Bible School when God called her to follow Him. She has lived by grace and mercy ever since that moment.
Lynsay has a Bachelors in Early Childhood Education from North Greenville University and a Masters degree in Education from Southern Wesleyan University. She taught first grade in Greenville County Schools for eleven years before dedicating herself to being a stay at home mom. During those years she served faithfully in the preschool and children’s ministries at Forestville. After her own children entered school, Lynsay was called to join our staff in her current role.
Lynsay finds inspiration in this verse from Proverbs 3: 5-6: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.” Lynsay grew up in Travelers Rest and is married to her high school sweetheart, Shane. They have two beautiful and kind children: Addie and Hudson. Lynsay is in the season of life where she works to keep up with the whirlwind of activities that her children are involved in. From concerts to PTA to ball games, Lynsay stays very busy outside of her ministry work! Lynsay’s family enjoys going to the lake and beach with their family and friends in their down time.
